What if they sang?

Most people have heard of the Giant's singing golden harp from "Jack and the Beanstalk" right? Well what if other things, not inherently musical, sang? The potted plant in your kitchen? Your grandmother's antique pocket watch? And what if they didn't sing? What if they just played music? What kind of music would it be? What would the music do? Why did that mailbox start playing music in the first place? So how about it? What if music didn't just come from instruments? Please, expand on this. And if you do talk to me so you can post it!
