The Irresistible Revolution
This is how Christians should live. This is the second time I've read Shane Claiborne's debut book The Irresistible Revolution and it was just as phenomenal as before. Looking for a comfortable book? Don't read this. Looking for a feel good book? Find another one. This book, which chronicles some of Claiborne's experiences and The Simple Way's experiments in actually living the gospel, will make most people's ideas of Christian life turn pallid. It will light a fire beneath the asses of all the lazy people in this world. It may just remind you that being a Christian isn't supposed to be easy. After all, how easy is it to carry a cross? And, if you let it, it might just inspire you to be the change you want to see in this world, instead of just dreaming about it.

Barabara Wood's "Daughter of the Sun"
Finally, finally! Between classes, work, and the rest of the chaos that makes up my life, I got a chance to read a book. What a concept, huh?
To be honest, I was looking for a mindless romance novel when I picked up Barbara Wood's Daughter of the Sun. A romance novel it is not, though there are some Shakespearian inspired relationships in it. It's a story that takes a look at one of the most confounding historical mysteries of the American Southwest. The abandonment of one of the Anastazi people's largest cities. This fictional account of why the Anastazi left is rich with their cultural traditions. This book is not a page turner, but the cultural details are facinating enough to make it an interesting, if not riveting read. If there's nothing pressing on your reading list this is a good one to fill the space until you find something more interesting.

The paths that all lives take.
To live, to love, to learn, to die. The path that all lives take. Not completely a fatalistic thought, because we each choose how we live, choose whom we love, choose what we learn, and choose how we face death by all that has come before. So, what form will your path take?

The Queen of Weird
The planet of WhatEver is ruled by the Queen of Weird. What kind of place is it? Is the Queen of Weird a nice person? How does she regulate the Weirdness? How did she earn such a title? This is your prompt for the next while. Yes, the Queen of Weird is a real person, if you wanted to know. It's a nickname for a friend of mine. Have fun with the weirdness, and remember that strange is a state of mind.

What if they sang?
Most people have heard of the Giant's singing golden harp from "Jack and the Beanstalk" right? Well what if other things, not inherently musical, sang? The potted plant in your kitchen? Your grandmother's antique pocket watch? And what if they didn't sing? What if they just played music? What kind of music would it be? What would the music do? Why did that mailbox start playing music in the first place? So how about it? What if music didn't just come from instruments? Please, expand on this. And if you do talk to me so you can post it!

Be Patient
I'm starting to get the feeling that I'm never going to make any progress on my "To Read" list. There are just too many things I want to read and too many things going on. (Neither of which is a bad problem to have). So I'm not promising any book info any time soon, though I am working on some new stories and such. Please be patient!
